    Somalia

    No service since October 1991

    Mali
    Start date: 20th April 2012
    End date: Ongoing

    Owing to recent events in the Republic of Mali, a number of Post Offices (Timbuktu, Gao, Kidal, Gourma Rharouss, Niafunké, Tonka, Ansongo, Bourem, Menaka, Tessalit, Diré, Goundam, Tenenkou, Youwarou, Douentza and Koulouba) have been closed temporarily.

    Possible delays to all mail services are expected as a result.

  5. Europe

    Georgia (Abkhazia and Ossetia regions only)
    Start date: 12th July 2005
    End date: Ongoing

    Due to the local security and political situation, only International Signed For mail can be sent to the Abkhazia and South Ossetia regions of Georgia until further notice. Normal mail service is available to other regions of Georgia.

  6. Latin America & Caribbean

    Cuba
    Start date: 28th April 2012
    End date: 14th May 2012

    The Cuban international office of exchange (CUHAVA, CUHAVB, CUHAVC and CUHAVE) is moving to a new building, which will result in delays in processing incoming and outgoing dispatches from 28 April to 4 May 2012.

    Possible delays to all mail services are likley as a result.

    Update: 9th May 2012

    The relocation of the international office of exchange in Cuba will take longer than planned. As a result, there will continue to be delays in the processing of inbound and outbound dispatches until 14 May 2012.

  7. Middle East

    Azerbaijan
    Start date: 2nd May 2012
    End date: Ongoing

    Due to high passenger loads and cargo backlog causing some conveyance issues with our supplier, there may be some small delays to mail going to Azerbaijan.

    Syria
    Start date: 5th April 2012
    End date: Ongoing

    Due to the difficult situation in the Syrian Arab Republic at present, the postal authority is currently finding it difficult to meet its international postal obligations.

    There are likely to be delays to all mail services as a result.
